FORBES' second annual Under 30 Summit Asia took place last month in Manila. The two-day event hosted around 300 entrepreneurs from across Asia to connect, discover and get inspired by some of the brightest young leaders who are changing their industries and the region.

Held partly at Pineapple Lab – an arts hub in bustling Metro Manila – and partly at Solaire Resort & Casino, the event was an opportunity for the 30 Under 30 Asia list honorees to meet and celebrate their achievements as well as learn about the city's booming startup scene during a casual Startup Open House session.

With the theme "Diversity & Empowerment," the event reflected this year's 30 Under 30 Asia list, with presentations list honorees and panels discussing everything from disruptive technology to social entrepreneurship, art as a medium for change and women's role in the region.

But that's not all.

The stage program was followed by a Food & Music Festival that showcased some of the featured young chefs' talents through creative dishes inspired by their countries. The night ended with an energetic performance by Filipino singer-songwriter Jake Zyrus, previously known as Charice Pempengco.

Manila's summit will be followed by the global FORBES Under 30 Summit which takes place in Boston between 1 and 4 October 2017 and will gather close to 7,000 young entrepreneurs from around the world.
